I’m a Dutch former guerrilla member of the FARC-EP and write about peace & conflict: the causes of conflict, the construction of the image of the 'enemy', peace processes, reintegration processes of former guerrilla combatants and much more. That is my professional field of interest. At the personal level, I’m fascinated about FARC’s history and how history is built in general.

I will also use this blog - now and then - to let off steam about my personal (and sometimes frustrating) experience of reintegration into Colombian society.
